   Just learned that the Candlemas term is actually The Presentation of Jesus at the Temple. I first heard this term from the Doom Metal band Candlemas who were openly blasphemous. I couldn't imagine "satanists" could be so unimaginative so they took a Christian feast as a band name. In Greek the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple is Hypapante (meeting) in Church Slavonic is Sretenie (Сретение - Срещане). In Catholic world the feast is also famous as Feast of Purification of Virgin Mary.
